Why did you start Card Making as a Hobby
Will be a small box filled with all the shabby Chic stuff I can stuff into it, to re-create one of the little Shabby Chic boxes we made at our fun night, I will post this world wide
Everyone is welcome to enter. Don't forget to leave me a contact name, so I can choose a winner.
I will add the names under this post as they come in. Aiveen, Aileen, Jean, Clare, Sharon Parker, Sheila Shannon, Brona, Barbara, Patricia O, Linda, Liz, Phil, Anne L, Nicola , Siobhan. Why I love Card making. I started Card Making about 7 years ago, I received a lovely handmade card, which was decoupage, and although I had learned Card making in Bourton on the water, in the Cotswold at the local W. I. group, about 22 years ago, I hadn't made cards for years, I did some cutting out while recovering from a hysterectomy. I was watching telly, and flicking through the channels and found QVC Dawn Biddy was on, and I spent a fortune. Since making my first very simple cards, I haven't stopped, I love sharing new ideas, and my motto is "when you learn something new share it" the thanks you get for other crafter's is so worth it. and the friendships amazing. So thanks Ladies Yvonne xx
these are now ready for Inserts, Embellishments and Greetings
When I have time I spend a full day getting basic cards ready to bling up, this way it saves me a lot of time on a busy week.
I also get lots of cards matted and layered with backing card and pretty paper. tomorrow I will spend the day die cutting on my cricut, matting layers for toppers, as this is also a great way to save time,
My top tip, if you make a beautiful card repeat it straight away, that way you always have back up to hand.
I had a rotten cold the whole of Christmas and totally lost my get up and go, but had to make a few cards for this morning, so here they are, I have a batch of 30 on the table waiting to be finished, to fill my boxes as they are so low, so its back to work today with a bang.
Will share a group photo later today.
This one is for a Young Man training to be a Baritone Singer
This month we are
decorating a box as a gift, and making a matching card and gift tag. in a Shabby Chic Style.
I sent an email
out before Christmas asking you all to keep any strong smallish boxes about 10cm
to 15cm in size. for this Project, if you have more than 1 can you bring a spare
in case someone didn't get one.
if you have any
broken costume jewellery please bring it along.
